About

I earned a degree in Fine Art from Iowa State University because they didn’t have anything that resembled digital design in the 1990s. With that impressive credential I became a video game artist and worked on products for Disney/Pixar, Hasbro and others.

Eventually I moved to New York City and became a web designer at a financial start-up where I promptly found myself on my ass as an independent contractor. That lead to time with Grey/Mediacom for Volkswagon, Young & Rubicam, Mercedes and a place called MedReviews.

After Mercedes racked up 12 grand in unpaid invoices [scandalous!] I found a job doing technical direction for M360 Inc. on Pepsi accounts. It was fabulous, I rubbed muscles with Fabio, soap opera stars, and starving starlets. Unfortunately I couldn’t pay a mortgage with stories and had to move on…..

Now I am as happy as I’ve ever been professionally. I work for a company named iMed Studios (a division of Publicis Healthcare Group) doing just about everything my experience has taught me to this point… but I want to grow, love Information Architecture and hate budgets.

Privately I am a outspoken advocate of the mobile internet and generally like to pick on Apple fanatics, though I carry/own more Apple products than could possibly be healthy. My wife is jealous of my laptop and our dogs think it tastes like crap [except for "E" and "T"].
