Designing Interfaces

I just started reading Designing Interfaces in an effort to motivate myself to think about information outside of the standard computer>browser>web page standard.

I am still in the first quarter of the book but what I can say that I like so far is that the author, Jenifer Tidwell, has taken the best practices of interface design and applied them broadly to web, desktop and mobile applications. The one thing that I learned very quickly in this process of adding I.A. to my job is that working with managers, programmers, and designers has very similar hurdles. All of my conversations benefit from having an arsenal of knowledge to pull from and back up my ideas, especially since I’m working with the same people in a different role.
